FYI, a note on the Gear Vendors the units are all the same no matter what it's on. the only difference is the adaptor and Gear Vendors will sell you the proper adaptor. highdesertranger

Right, so even if you find a Ford or Dodge RV with a Gear Vendor that you can snag for cheap, get it then you have to get the adapter for the proper transmission and you're set.

regarding the Cherokee int. shaft, the first will take about 15 minutes (ratchet not power tools). After that it'll take about 5-10.

1. remove both bolts from each end of int. shaft under the hood
2. remove 4 bolts under dash lip holding column to dash (may have to take a cover off ....rip it off or be nice to the next guy).
3. take out 2-3 bolts holding column to floor
4. yank on the column, you should hear it hit the ground or drop out hitting something else

Save the bolts that go into the intermediate shaft.

Are you talking post #36. You did that just yesterday. I do believe I have the edit block set for 72 hours which is 3 days so you should be able to edit that one yourself. Give it a try so I know. If not, I want to go see what happened in the Admin control panel.

I just pull the steering box bolts it's only 3 and I don't have to lay on that nasty ass carpet and wait for some rabid mouse to attack me because it thinks I'm gonna take its 10 year old hairy French fry.

post #1, Thanks HR. I'd like to keep the first post an updated list. That way you don't have to read the whole post to come up with a list.
