Is this part of the evap system?

Good morning. Cleaning up wiring in my engine bay and not 100% sure what this for. Thinking evap system as the canister is gone and no air pump.

Comes out of the dash between bull head for the wire harness and the steering column. Has electrical plug and a vacuum hose in it.

Was originally a 700r4 but has a turbo350 now.
I would say it's for the torque convertor lockup from the 700. I can't remember what my old connector looked like though. Someone else will chime in.

Will also get a better picture. As the plug plugs into another connector about where my hand is.

Cruise control. The electrical wiring is to turn it on/off and adjust speed. The vacuum line running from the pod to the brake pedal makes the pod lose vacuum and drop the throttle ASAP if you press down the brake.

Thanks that’s what I was thinking after someone above had said cruise. And made more sense than smog like I originally thought.

Yep. For the cruise. My memory has been jogged. I now remember pulling that vacuum line out a very long time ago lol
