Started at 2200, now he's asking 1700. All it says is "good running truck". Looks like a younger guy, I'm sure probably hasn't had it too long. I'm not big on step sides so not sure if I'd keep it or swap for a fleet side bed.

One thing I'd like to have in the future is AC and he says he doesn't "think" it has AC. I'm having him send me pics of the dash and of the engine bay to confirm. I really don't want to do a non-AC to AC conversion and those vintage air kits are wayyyy too expensive. Hopefully he'll come back with good news. I hate to miss out on a potentially good deal just for AC.

I feel like I'm missing something basic here.... so if it has vents then it has air conditioning? Do non AC trucks only have defrost?

Heat comes out on the floor in the center on both A/C and non A/C models.

So if it has the vents on the left and right, then that means it was at least an AC truck at some point?

Yep, a pic of under he hood will tell if anyone changed it or not, but it is an A/C truck.

Well bust my buttons. That's one of those things I've seen 100 times and it never sank in. I always just look for the heater controls and never really paid attention to the vents. Thanks!

Yup vent next to headlight switch means it originally had a/c. As far as the step side bed I'd keep it. Mine is fleet but if I could of found an 8 ft step that's what would be on it.

Now the important question, is it worth 1700? I would hope to get it for 1500 but at the worst is 1700 a good price? It definitely looks better than some of the rust buckets around here.

You would need to poke around it. Black primer can hide a lot. But for this part of the county that isn't to bad of a price. The south west boys will debate it but they don't count they can buy a rust free stuff any time.lol

here's the engine bay. looks like no AC right? Would that mean it's a non-ac truck that someone has swapped dashes on or something?
