Interchangeability of sill plates on 73-79 cabs

I'm getting ready to swap out the floor rubber/insulation on my truck.. It's registered as a 73C10, but there are other indicators that it is actually a 79C30 cab..

Looking to order new sill plates as the existing ones are in pretty bad shape..

I'd like to get the plastic kind.. But in the LMC catalog, the only plastic single piece sill plate is listed as for a 78-87..

Aren't all 73-79 cabs the same? Would this sill still work on a 73-77 cab? Would I be safe to order this and expect it to work for me?

Other than being an aftermarket replacement, they should fit the same.

Crew cabs, Burbs and single cabs all use the same front sill plates. At some point, the single cabs started getting the plastic plates, but crew cabs and Burbs continued with the aluminum plates.

Thanks, that's what I thought.. They look nicer, are easier to maintain.install, and should last a lot longer..

Hmm, I like the aluminum plates way better, lol. I think the plastic ones look like a cheesy modern part and they get scratched up easy too. To each their own though

I put the plastic ones in my ‘79 without issue. Uses the same screw holes.

Until they start to rot. Then the plastic looks better.
