Not yet. Can't find the frigin time. Next weekend I have a window to try and catch up on some ****. The kids don't like to sit in a garage and watch thier dad work on his SB when the come to visit every two weeks, on top of living at work 6 days a week. No time....did you drill it and heli coil it?
Problem is trying to perfecly center the drill as it is going down, which I did spot on for the first few steps of drill bits, but eventually the larger bits started to walk off center and your phuked. It's just a matter of having the right tools at the right time at the right place, and not rushing it and panicing, which I was guilty off because of the circumstances and trying to fix my DD in a short alloted time frame which........aw fukit....Yep, you'll find that Heli Coil stuff is awesome. Just take your time, read the direction carefully if you have not done one before, and use the EXACT drill bit they say to use. If they say to use an 11/64ths drill bit and the kit didn't come with and you don't have one, go buy one. Don't be stuck on the Heli Coil brand either, there are other brands that work just as well if where you are going to get it they don't stock Heli Coil. I have used many Heli Coils to save transmission cases where Valve Body and Pump Body bolt holes have stripped out and wouldn't hold the torque specs. The Heli Coils never never let me down.
I am trying my friend. At least you're making progress on this thing man. Just take it one thing at a time
