This is not my bezel, but you all know what it is.

Some of the black is starting to peal. I am thinking about painting it. Then use some silver paint for the edges.

Any thoughts or recommendations?

Silver paint marker might be the best way to go on the trim. Many years ago I hand painted that on a couple of our square body trucks. Even with a very steady hand, it's difficult to get it all painted and not go over an edge or two.

I have the same bezel. Painted it gloss black then tried to do the entire gauge part in silver. Looks like crap so will buy a new one eventually with a new housing as mine is breaking piece by piece

Are you saying you painted the inside rather just the front outer ring?

I used a paint pen. Still hard to make it look great but it was an improvement. Paint pen from craft section at wal mart I think

I cleaned my bezel up good, painted my fuel gauge inner ring & the now clock inner ring with a charcoal wheel paint to match the existing color, repainted the silver outer rings on all the gauges & the "Lights" letters with a silver paint pen, then installed a new aluminum bezel overlay from LMC & it looks nearly perfect! Paint pen is the way to go on any of that silver edging on the interior.

I did this about 5 years ago with a Molotow Chrome pen. Still looks good.

I bought the pens. Today I did a test on the AC vent. 9 hours later I thought it was good enough so I tried another. The pen would not push paint out.
