Well I received my louvers from Willpak Industries for $83.96 landed at my doorstep. Quality looked good, rigid, light weight, trimmed well. Came in standard black but I painted them white to match my truck. They installed in minutes with the included velcro and it feels nice and solid. A trip down the freeway and they stayed in place so I think all is good.
My main objective was to keep some of this desert sun out of my cab. I had the seat reupholstered in the original GM vinyl from SMS Auto Fabrics in Oregon, which was a little spendy but turned out great so i don't want the sun to burn it up again. It was 106 degrees here today.
It certainly cuts down the rear window sun beating in. A huge difference. Of course it gives up a bit in the visibility through the rear view mirror but not so bad you can't live with it. I mostly use my side mirrors anyway. It's not as bad as the shot through the windshield makes it look.
Another bonus, it completely cuts out the overhead lights bleeding into the cab at night.
So they are very functional and solved my problem but tell me what you think....OK retro look or totally gay? Give it to me straight....I can take it
