^instead of pushing him to use the resources provided to him at least give him a couple thread links to look at. 1987 how high are you planning to go? What are you gonna use the truck for? Daily/sunday driver or strictly off road? What's your end goal for the truck? Is it a R or a V( please dear god say V)? 10/20/30? All these questions are necessary to figure out what other supporting mods do you need to support a lift

He wasn't being rude but in the time he wrote his question here and to await an answer he could have found his answer.

99% of the 73-87 trucks do best with 4" lift a 33 or 35 tires. Its what your general answer is going to be.

Didn't claim he was rude. Just don't want this forum to turn into the other forums where everyone is just like Google it rather than giving them links to look at.

This is one of my favorite places to buy from. Even if you don't buy from them look and see what they have for sale. Good place to learn where some of the weak parts are. Has some pictures and then click on the online catalog to see what they sell.

I'd highly recommend a steering box brace even if you don't lift it.

ORD gets great reviews but is somewhat expensive, make sure you take care of steering box bracket if you lift is something very commonly mentioned. rocky mountain has decent prices too you can find the link in my build thread but it uses rear blocks. what axles do you have?
