I want a rear sliding window!

Mine looks exactly like the one you have and no luck on a latch yet either. Need one to glue on not screw on.

I used to have an old truck with a broken plastic latch. I just cut 2 pieces off a stick of aluminium 3/4" x 3/4" 90°, and dropped them in the bottom of the channel of the outside 2 windows, so it wouldn't open without removing those 2 pieces.

With my solid back glass, windows down (vent windows open or closed, doesn’t make a difference), anything over 45-50 has a ton of buffeting. The hwy will give me a headache and can hardly hear the radio. Luckily my AC works well so I can keep the windows up on the hwy.

Interesting... my AC is INOP, so I always have my windows down. Mines an 80 K25 and has zero buffeting, at any speed, with any combination of windows or wings open or closed. I had a slider with bad seals before and recently put in one of those C.R. Lawrence ones. The CR lawrence is WAY nicer than the factory one and slides open and closed much easier. I also like the tint, since it is not too dark but will keep the sun off my interior.

Damnit, that is exactly the opposite of what I wanted to hear lol. Have you tried opening the floor vents to see if that makes it go away?

No floor vents to open, it’s a loaded ‘85

Lol. Ok so it should not happen when both windows are down right? I mean thats generally how you fix it in any car, just want to make sure if I go solid ill still be able to drive on the freeway with the windows down without it happening in the square. TotallyHucked said "windows" did he mean window? And ya, im gonna get a new window. Just cant decide on solid or not. I like the look of solid better.

Nope, I’m talking about both windows. I know what you’re referring to, just opening one window in a 4 door something. This is a different, but just as bad buffeting effect

I like the solid rear window.
The 78 k10 I brought home has the slider.
It won't stay.

I like the solid window too. This one opens on both sides. Unfortunately no longer made.

It's a silver bead strip, originally chrome plastic that sits in the outside of the rubber seal, Nothing to do with the actual aluminium frame.

What exactly is a "K25." When I googled it, it only referenced some white pill?

Love my sliding rear window. Good quality ceramic tint really helps block out the heat too.
