Its alive!

I got it all in, and it finally runs.

Not too good, but it sounds healthier than the old engine ever did

Now I just need an exhaust (I think I am actually going to have it done by a local shop once since my exhaust making skills are not stellar.).

I drove it around a bit today, but there is apparently a group of rioters targeting white neighborhoods (that also apparently let a bunch of animals out of my local zoo).

What is this world coming to?

At least I got a kick ass truck to drive after infrastructure disintegrates.

Those sonsabitches have been at it all weekend here. PD here doesn't mess around, partly why they're protesting here, but officers are on roofs in the areas they're protesting. Guns on display too, just waiting for the idiots to do something stupid.

Good to have the truck running again, though.

A bit much, but I don't have a buddy to mooch one off of.

I am able to mooch an engine stand off of buddy though.
I haven't looked in awhile but isn't a brand new one from HF just barely more than that?

Nice work man. Full running swap in a couple days with minimal complications. :rockit:

Glad you stuck with a six. I did the 250-six to 350 deal several years ago, and it was not trivial.

Had to source different motor mount "clam shells" and spent lots of time modifying the wiring harness. All I had was the basic 350 itself, so needed exhaust manifolds, down pipes, water pump, fuel pump, starter, distributor, alternator and P/S brackets, belts, hoses, etc. $$Ka-ching!

Glad I did it, but it was not something you're gonna knock out in a weekend.
