I have a 1982 C-10 short bed 2WD in-line 6. Believe it’s the 250 variety not sure.

It runs and drives still. Maybe go to a crate 350 I dunno y’all’s thoughts… rebuild or brand new she runs but is tired.

Would love to get her back to her former glory. From what I can tell she is free of rust just needs some paint love.

Thanks for having me I will post some pics if anyone is interested in seeing.

Thanks fellas, will get some better pics up. Even tho that truck is old and beat up I have always loved it. I’m selling my daily driver and putting some love back into the C-10.

I vote for keeping the 6 cylinder as well. Don't get rid of it after you put a V8 in it at least.
I kept my '81 Custom Deluxe stock with a 250, 3 speed transmission stock the 11 years I drove it and wasn't sorry at all.

I like the V8 with the dual exhaust and the HP gains like Ken B is doing but also like the originality of the rig and ya just don’t see many straight 6s in the C10s anymore . I think I’m with you guys on the rebuild …I’m having her put up in a shop next week to have a professional look at her. I’m no means a mechanic. See what they think. But I am probably going to have her rebuilt along with the transmission… go from there.
