Alright fellas...I gotta pick your brains.

Tonight we replaced the capped off brake line, bled all the brakes about 3 times and had a pretty good pedal. No leaks. Drove it around the block and it was good. Then drove it about 3 miles to my mom's and when I came back to the truck...no pressure. Babied it home, pressure sometimes built up, but then I lost it. Seemed like the rear passenger was the only one working again, just like on day 1.

Master cylinder? Brake booster? Replace both? Good brands?

And THANK YOU ALL FOR THE WARM WELCOME!!

I trust bendix and raybestos for brake parts, but others may be good as well.

I’m assuming with a 3/4 ton gas truck you have a vacuum booster and you can pressure test that. Get a new master cylinder and bench bleed it first. Prop valve may need centering if you suddenly lost one of the circuits.

Welcome from southern Missouri. I would try bleeding again before i thru any more parts at it. Some times it can be a b*tch to get all the air out. The id say maybe booster/master.

I agree with this.

Also check for any places that might be letting air in. Maybe there's a reason someone tried capping off one of the lines rather than just fixing it

Welcome! I'd also go with bleeding the brakes again before throwing parts at it. But most likely you'll be throwing brake parts at it.

Also, any recommendations on tires? The rears at 16.5" and I can't find them anywhere online. The fronts are nearly new. Wouldn't mind getting new wheels.

Firestone Transforce H/T is about the only 16.5" tire out there. I'd probably switch over to 16 or 17" wheels.
