My vote is a sf 14 bolt or it's a Spicer axle.
Definitely intrigued.

 I forgot about this thread! I still haven't had to eat my hat.
This thread is epic! Both entertaining and disappointing. A Mad Ogre proclaiming he's not stupid and a whole thread on axles without one instance of misspelling axle! Ogre hasn't been seen since Oct 2015. I think your hat is safe bucket.

This actually wasn't the only thread where we disagreed about rear axles. In the other thread, he insisted that the 6-lug semi-float 14 bolt axles were used in the gmt 800 trucks and I said they weren't. Well, a few years went by and one day I saw one of those really rare "Vortec Max" trucks and then it hit me... that SOB was right! The Vortec Max trucks seem to be rare as hen's teeth but I'm guessing the Silverado SS used the same axle.

To this day, I haven't figured out what thread it was so I could own up to being wrong and he hasn't been here so I could tell him he was right.

That's interesting because I don't know much about the Vortec Max trucks that you say are rare. I have seen quite a few of them, I know exactly what you mean. But, living 5 miles from Mexico, I see a lot of oddball models from all the OEM's that make me look twice. And usually, they all have Sonora or Baja Mexico plates on them. That might be the case with those trucks.

Really? I think I've seen only two of them. I remember a magazine ad for them, but it was probably 2018 before I saw one (which made me think of the thread). Then a year or so later, I saw another. It was a pretty cool package honestly.
