Hey all, I've searched everywhere and can't figure it out. This is an 79 truck with AC if that makes a difference. Do I need to pull out all that ducting? If so, it's hard to see how it comes out. The bottom two sections are out from replacing the heater core already. I'm working on getting the AC going this week and would like to replace that speaker before then.

Thanks in advance!

Oh yeah, I'm new here, nice to meet ya'll :)

Pull the top dash cover off and it will be right there.

So you have to remove the entire dash pad? It looks like it bolts in from the bottom but I guess if I gotta do it I gotta do it.

Welcome to the forum! :D

Yeah, I've never done it, but I've always understood it was removed from the top out. Underneath dash pad and then it will come up and out.

Dash pad is very easy. Pull the gauge cover and the screws along the bottom of the pad across to the passenger side. Lift up and away. Careful of the front clips on the front of the pad, sometimes they break off.
