All my short beds have 16 gal tanks.

All shortbeds are 16 gallon tanks, because of the wheelbase.

Longbeds can have either 16 gallon tanks or 20 gallon tanks depending on the GVW of the truck (the GVW limiting the amount of fuel that can be carried).

My crew dually has the 16 gal tanks. I'm thinking I may swap out to 20s at some point though. They are cheap enough. At 7mpg I'll take every drop I can get.

I believe they were, however the asshat that optioned my truck picked some funky stuff. Loaded with camper special, silverado, $600 top-of-the-line radio, but no upgraded cooling, fuel or anything else. I'm thinking it was an old farmer that wanted a nice cruiser, not an HD worker.

Hell he even had an aftermarket sunroof put in. Damn have I ever had problems with THAT pos.

Yeah, it's amazing what kind of combinations people order, lol...

I don't like anything on a roof, they're all potential leakers..

Yup. And I've got the giant wet spot in a very conspicuous spot on my pants to show for it.

My longbed half-ton has a single 16 gal (60 L) tank, I usually keep an additional 40 L in jerrycans in the bed for backup on long logging roads.
