Oh yeah, well...does yours have a little picture of a horn on it - to tell you that it's the horn button? Mine does:

Actually I see the little horn logo on the horn that went with the Silverado package too. Apparently only Sierra Classics and Silverados got the clear, long body button and the tiny toot horn only appeared in 1987.
Sad part is a lot of these buttons are cracked at the bottom from people pounding on the horn.
You know, all this discussion about finding good parts has put me in a junkyard mood. It's 78 degrees, 45% humidity and not a cloud in the sky. A good day for the J/Y - so I'm off to see what the wreckers dragged in.
I'll post if I score anything good. But unfortunately - I am really supposed to be getting Saab stuff.

LMC and other parts suppliers have a VIN decoder so you can find out what your truck left the factory with. Heres one http://www.chuckschevytruckpages.com/81-87VIN.html
