I bought an 84 K20 Chevy Suburban last year. I discovered after changing out the steering column the horn does not work; (side note; I am rebuilding the original column over winter as I have time). I have it fully apart and just need time to reassemble it. Where is the horn relay under the dash of these trucks (or is it under the hood on the firewall)????? I also have to replace the electric motors in my doors for the electric windows; any suggestions for manufacturers as 99% of them are made in China????

Not yet. I need to do one. The current column in the truck is from a 90 Suburban, as the original column had all thee main 4 bolts "very, very, very loose"; dangerous to drive. I located a burb a guy was parting out over in Sconny and went there to pull the column out of that burb & it was the same column I had in my truck. I am in the process of rebuilding the original column over winter and when I have time in teh spring and summer when I am not working.

Have you done a continuity check on the column?
Hello,
Sorry for my ignorance, but my horn isn't working either and need to find the problem with my 84'. How do you perform a continuity check?

Thanks in advance,
-Dan
