I will attest to the quality of these. I built a new exhaust system around them and absolutely love them! I'll never use headers again. In the summit link, I had to read the reviews. Everyone that had issues was operator error based on fitment. But as you can see from mine, they fit square bodies perfect. I would snatch them up in a minute.

I think it was your write up that sealed it for me to be honest. Then I realized I would need to ditch my stock computer quadra carb and get a new distributor to delete my smog equipment. I just had the carb rebuilt and everything works minus the air pump so no need to delete it just yet. With the tow pig I can now pull it to a distance show and drive it locally with the overdrive still inop. Best to reallocate the funds for now even though the price went up 25% in a year, sheesh.

Do you think they make the same hp gains that headers do? Also do the exhaust pipes bolt up without modification.

Yes...for a daily driver. How often do you run at 4500 plus rpm's? No, they do not bolt up to factory exhaust.

Nah, in everything. If it's designed to be used up to a certain RPM, I be sure to use it often. Auto, manual, 2wd, 4x4, small car, big truck... don't matter.

You've not experienced the NV4500. Shifts silky smooth, but like a dump truck. It can move the world but not anytime fast. Perfect match for the manifolds.

Lol, I've definitely experienced the 4500 a time or two. It'll still run to redline just like anything else. You just ain't grabbing the next gear like a T56.

Glad to see they fit square bodies well. Last year I bought a set that was on sale for my 2WD 1969 C10. Very high quality and nice looking product, but they would have hit the motor mount and alternator bracket on the drivers side, and interfered with the Vintage Air A/C compressor on the passenger side. Ended up going with 3/4 length Hedman stainless headers.
