I was wondering if anyone has ever noticed a part number on the hood to tell ya it a factory part. And if so, where did ya see it?
Thanks

I'd say not. I'd also say the aftermarket's will weigh a good bit less.

I've never found a part number on an OE or aftermarket hood. I know our hoods will match the factory specs for fit and weight, but we don't mark ours either (that's on purpose, so they match OE).

The reason I ask is that I found part #'s on the bed sides and I think the fenders so I figured if there was a stamping on the hood somebody would know. I'm going with the one that was on the truck, that appears to be original, but it's always nice to know for sure.
