The hood on the 73 started sitting higher on the back side. Do I need new hinges?

Be very careful! The hood hinges on the 73s can get rusty or stiff and cause this. the next thing that happens if you don't get some oil on ALL of the hinges pivot points is that the hood will buckle right above the hinge. be very careful when closing the hood as this is when the hood will buckle .

Grease your hinges if it’s not too late
It's been awhile since I put some grease on them, will try that first.

What's the best oil to use that will actually stay there for awhile?

I believe engine oil is what was recommended by GM?

I prefer to use Fluid Film.

I used a ProGold ProLink chain lube for now. One side came down a bit but the other side still wants to stay up some.
