Similar problem on mine. Had it towed home, set up to do a whole crapload of diagnostics (bumped somestuff around in the process) and, bang, it started. Turned out the green starter wire came loose from the firewall connector on the engine side. Cleaned up that area, reinstalled the wire, no problems ever since.

If you just need a quick workaround, you can buy one of these or make one. Its just a way to manually activate the starter. On the solenoid - clip one onto the S and one on the B. Press the button and the starter kicks on.

More annoying are the people at the crosswalks pressing the button repeatedly thinking it's going to speed up the process.

Like fast 99 mentioned, enlist the help of a friend and do some diagnostic work beginning with the starter. Have somebody bump the key and make sure you're getting signal at the start signal on the solenoid. No light = bad remote signal, good light = starter issue. If you have a remote start button, connect it and try it with the key in the on position, if it starts, bad signal to starter. If it doesn't start, starter issue.

If you're not getting any light, it could be anything between the interlock or ignition switch, to a break in the wire anywhere leading to the solenoid. You'll just have to trace it back to where it's failed at and repair it, whether it's a bad switch, interlock, broken wire etc.
