Ok so here's the deal. I have an 85 chevy that was a 2wd auto with a low hump. I put in an nv4500 and needed to put in a removable high hump. I used a high hump from a mid 70s I don't know the year exactly or if it was 2wd or 4wd. I am now trying to figure out what carpet will work. Pictures of the hump. Their is 4 or 5 options for carpet. I was hoping someone has done this already I feel like I should have used a 81-83 hump being as the the floor is a bit diffrent I think I need to use a 73-80 carpet now

With those round corners, That appears to be a 67-72 high hump, so neither ‘73-’80 or ‘81-‘87 molded carpets would fit very well at the front of the hump. Since you have an ‘85 cab, Seems like the 81-87 high hump would be the closest shape ? Just my thoughts

That looks like the hump I have from a 70's 2wd. I'd say you need the 2wd 4-speed carpet.

I agree ot does look like the 67-72 hump but it's not quiet the same thought. It came out of a squarebody. If you look at the part of the hump closest to the firewall it has a totally diffrent shape than the 67-72.

Upon more research I found that the hump I used is a 78 2wd manual. Trouble is the floor beyond that is diffrent shape. I may just have to go to a diffrent hump when I find one. Pictures below you can see thr diffrence. I did find the white cab picture on this fourm. The blue floor is an 85 cab with the hump I put in from an older square.

Do you have a link to where you are looking for new carpets? I am in the middle of a 2wd to 4wd conversion on my suburban and there is a possibility I will need new carpet. Following to hear how this turns out for you!

I did something similar last week. I have a 2wd 86 cab on a 80 4wd frame with a np205. I put a 1980 4wd high hump in it. I haven't done the carpet yet but I'm planning on buying carpet for a 1980 4wd. Another thing I did to make the floor match better was to get the "rear hump" as well. Its a weld in piece that I bought from auto metal direct.

Here is an 81-83 hump I have that is set for an NV4500. Truck was an original 4speed so I offset cut and turned the hole around so I retained my original trim ring and other parts.
