Dodge 2500 front shaft from around 2006 would be a good part to swap in. My square shaft is still in duty working fine but I really do want to do the Dodge shaft mod. I used about 2 feet of 2.5" 0.25" wall square tube and 2 feet of 2" 0.25" wall. Only thing you may want to consider is get the 2.5" tube that is externally welded, that way you don't have to groove the 2" tube for the internal weld like I had to do. Spend 10x the time getting your yokes square than you think you need, and burn them on HOT. Also remember to keep the shaft in phase to reduce vibrations but keep in mind there will always be some vibration. I used a t-case yoke from a '76 with an NP203, it will bolt directly to an NP205. Reason I'm eliminating mine is it has 3R joints, and I want 1350s from one end to the other. My whole truck is about to undergo some major changes so mine may be up for sale if anyone would be interested. If not I can at least get some good measurements and pics when I start on it.
