Build pics part 4, the snorkel part was longer but it throw off the balance of the whole things so I shorten it by 3 or 4 inches, so now the balance is a lot better.

That came out really nice!
I learned about paint compatibility the hard way on some art projects a few years ago. Even though I used the same brand and type of color and clear coats, I did have some issues. Preparation is key on any painting projects!

Thanks for sharing the pics of the process. I bet your neighbors had choice words when you took hammering...lol...
@DoubleDingo, Actually I don't think I bugged my neighbors much. Between me and the guy the lives down the block from me is just as loud as I am. So I'm pretty certain that our neighbors are used to me and him making a bunch of noise. Lol

Really cool! Thanks for sharing and sharing your engine. I’ve never seen one of those. I didn’t know the variety of engines they had. I have an 84 Silverado with a 305. I knew the original owner and he had the original owners manual. I never knew these trucks had anything but V8’s. As for your creation I would pin stripe it and clear coat it. Or looks great as is.

Thanks @bucket I started designing what I was thinking of in January, I want to say I started making it together in April. I worked on it off and on from that point on. I could have finished it sooner but due to family matters I just couldn't put as much time into as I would have like too. I got pics of the build process and the first sketch designs I drew up if you would like to see them. I also have an idea for a cup holder that I would like to build since I don't like any of the cup holder I see on the market for a square body or in general for a bench seat vehicle.
I'm interested in the cup holder design you came up with. I'm not a fan of any of the ones out there either

Thanks and your welcome. Yeah this truck is a unique truck because it doesnt match with what it should match with. I know the truck was order by my granduncle propane dealership and they put the propane kit on it. My granduncle told me that the truck is original to what they ordered. The interior is a green color that I can't find anywhere. Ive had people tell me as I've been fixing it up that it should have really good gas mileage since it's a 250.

Yeah, the green interiors are far less common and getting replacement parts in green can be difficult. At least it's not an orange interior, they were even more rare. By a long shot, lol.

I build a custom air cleaner housing for my 79 c20 250 with a verajet carb since I was unable to find one anywhere. I wanted it to look like something that would have came on the truck but with my flare on it. If you guys are wonder why I did this is because the truck had a diy propane kit on it from the propane dealership my grand uncle worked at that my grandfather's eventually bought from my granduncle propane dealership. I decided to convert it back to gas just to avoid what I would have to do to get it permitted to run on propane. What do you guys think of what I came up with?
Good job!

@squaredeal91 yeah I am, I'm just debating on the color, I've thought of clear coating it because I really like the metal look but I'm not sure yet. I really want to pinstrip it and also put lettering on it but I'm debating what put on it.
Well it should have 250 on it!

You must be registered for see images attach

I also saw one online with flags but couldn't paste the photo. You would need to paint the 250
