Pictures on Flickr were provided by the vendor. The truck developed an oil leak on the initial test drive, so we met halfway on a rebuild. I paid parts and he covered labour. So pretty much a full rebuild for a few hundred £££
My C20 had an engine swap which I didn't know when I bought it. Had a 86 305 in it. I found a low mileage 90ies 350 block and will put that in as I pay taxes and insurance for a 350.
I'd wager an alarming amount of people have been scammed at junkyards and bought engines without looking at the cast numbers. There are also a lot of folks that simply bought 305s because they were cheaper than the more desirable small blocks. I got lucky once and had a '85 C10 that left the factory with a 305, but someone put a 350 in it later. Unfortunately, they also went from an overdrive th350 to a regular th350.
