Help with wiring!

I think if you disconnect the headlights from the power source one at a time and the truck will shut off then it has to be that the wiring for that headlight, is back feeding to the key. I would disconnect the head lights one at a time. if it still keeps running with only one headlight plugged in then your problem is back before the headlight wire splits. I agree with the other guys here it is very likely to be a ground problem. Your headlights run of a constant hot feed So they shouldn't be affected by the key. Has some one been installing a radio or a clock? They both use a switched and a constant hot wire feed. If so I would check those.

Is the problem only present with headlights,or also present with taillights/dash lights?
