Help with strange noise

ok i must be stupid i thank you all,both of my rear u joints are worn and loose, hopefully this will resolve this

At least you tracked something down man, let us know how ya make out.

That will do it! I just replaced the rear one on my 85 last summer, it had a pretty bad vibration. After replacing the Ujoint it stopped.

Welcome aboard, and thanks for posting back what you found wrong. Do be sure to let us know the difference and you get the U-joints replaced if that solved your issue. :waytogo:

got the 2 rear u joints replaced with a u joint service kit, worked out perfect running smooth and noiseless (besides my sexy exhaust :grd: ) so easy much appreciation for the help...love this site.......and saved me a pretty penny
