My Buick did similar things when I got a tank of bad gas I ran some fuel cleaner through it and it helped but didn't resolve until I ran the tank pretty much all the way out and got gas from a different station.

Fuel filter is only about 6 months old. Car has been running good the last couple of days, go figure.

Well I ran some fuel treatment through the tank and it got better for about two tanks, and then it started running so bad I couldn't get it out of the driveway. So I tried the fuel filter, and sure enough, it was full of what looked like water. Seems to be running great now. We'll see how long it lasts lol.

I had a '97 Ford Ranger in which I got a bad tank of gas - I went through 4 fuel filters over probably 10K miles. It finally got better but I never completely got rid of the occasional stumble before I sold it. That rig was one of the best I've ever owned other than that.....

Well it didn't last long, started stumbling again today. I'll put some more fuel treatment in and run it. I'm almost positive it's bad gas related.

The saga continues. still missing. Overheated last friday, come to find out my intake manifold cracked and let engine oil get into my coolant system. completely clogged everything up. and it seems like the miss is a bad ignition control module. I really hate this car.

I guess I never updated. Ended up being a cracked intake manifold, which gummed up the entire cooling system. Bad crank and cam sensors, along with a bad ECM. $1200 into a car tax valued at $800. Good news is now my gas gauge works again lol.

I hope it's a lower mileage engine and has lots of life left to spend that kind of cash on it.

Engine only has 110k on it. That's low mileage for me lol.

Ok guys new problem. I’ve got coolant leaking from the rear of the engine. Running down between the block and transmission housing, dripping off the trans pan. But the kicker is it leaks while it’s parked. I don’t think it’s a heater hose, and it’s not the radiator leaking back there. So that leads me to believe that either head gasket or intake manifold. Again. Anyone have any ideas? Not the greatest pictures but the best I could get.

Thanks, I’ll see if I can locate them. I’ve been needing to do valve cover gaskets for a long time. I’ve had the gasket, just haven’t done it. Good time to tear it down and do that and check the elbows too I guess.

What happened to the plastic elbow? Gotta pull the water pump or something...I forget, but there IS something else involved. It's not a simple elbow job. ;)
