Help identifying wheels

Picked up these wheels for a possible change over on my 1977 GMC C15 but now not sure I’ll make the change. They are 15x7, 5x5 with a 4.5” backspace and came with beauty rings. I am wondering if anyone can provide information on what the original application would have been for them. I was told they were a GM rally wheel but they don’t match up to what I know to be a rally wheel. Thanks for any info that you can provide.

They are just stock wheels like you have in your avatar picture. Meant for hubcaps.

this black wheel is in my electras trunk its the spare. I THINK thats the same size as what you are showing but it may be sub 5 i dont recall atm

I think trucks had 5x5.5 and your hub wont fit that? Maybe idk
The wheel on rgiht is also on electra but its got a beauty cap, that is probably the same wheel as the left one.

this here is a 14 inch smasller hub BUT I think its the same idea wheel just smaller car it came from

Your truck is original 5x5 pattern. From 1970/71 to 1987, all 2wd 1/2 tons afaik.

Those wheels came off a 90's era 1500 pickup. No bump for hubcaps like the older ones, looks like this pic.

Correct, '88-'98 standard wheels.

X2 on that.

Stock '88-'98 C1500 GMT400 steel wheels. Nice wheels, just needs a center cap. They'd fit your truck, but definatly not a ralley wheel.

With external threaded lugnuts, you can run late 90's Astro center caps on them and it looks pretty good. Somewhere I have pictures of a truck I nearly bought with that setup.

Of course, there were factory optioned chrome caps with those wheels (standard was black), but the Astro caps look cooler, imho.

Well dang, I was WAY off! Lol. That truck had squarebody caps on the '88+ wheels!

And I still think Astro caps look good on them.
