I've battled this on my 6.2 , replaced the belts and adjusting it was a bit difficult but eventually got both belts tight enough, had to loosten all pump bolts allot to get full movement. Your pump does have a double pulley and 2 belts right?

Napa belts appear to be Gates but they buy everywhere so who knows from day to day. I don't like the value line belt. Have had problems with them in every way.

Make sure pulleys are compatible with each other. In other words, if pully diameters are different at the crank they also have to be different on the water pump.

Cogged belts are just as good as ones without them. If having problems with that style, it's a quality issue not the design.

NEVER, NEVER use belt dressing.
