Nothing fancy just a 454 engine with the TH400 tranny, and I just learn that it may have the 4.10:1 instead of the 3.73:1 because the cab has these tipi look alike emblems on the sides instead of the Bowtie...

Nothing fancy?! Sounds pretty fancy to me! Those little emblems mean the truck has the 'Camper Special' equipment. You probably have heavy duty rear springs, camper wiring tucked up between the cab/bed, and maybe a rear sway bar too.

Does it have the RPO code sticker in the glove box? That is about the only way you'll know. There is a slight possibility you might also find a build sheet in the seat too. Could be in the back of the seat back, or under the botton of the seat. Usually closer to the driver side, but can be on the passenger side too. Some cars have it in the headliner, but being most squared didn't have headliners, I doubt that it would be in the headliner location. IF your seat is not original, forget that idea period. If you do find the build sheet, be very very careful getting it out. It's old brittle paper and will tear easier than wet toilet paper.

I couldnt find it...

there is a small blue sticker that has my vin and it reads in bold "truck camper loading information", then it has a cargo weight of 3537, dimension A of 65in and dimension B 25in.

I did find 3 original paper maintenance logs and the owner manual from 1973.

The truck camper loading info likely came on all trucks. In 73, I'm failry certain, camper specials had wooden slats in the bed floor like all the 60's trucks had OEM. I want to say it was 73 and 74 only. I bet many of us didn't know that you could get a squarebody bed with a wooden floor in it. Yep, it's rare to see but it was available.

The wood floor wasn't part of the Camper Special option, and was actually still available through '79 or '80. I forget what the RPO was, Retro probably knows it. I do know that it was extremely rare, just like the storage compartments in the bedsides.

I"m sure you're right. I've only seen 2 in my life, both were camper specials, so I assumed that was part of the CS package.

The only way to find out is by removing the plastic bedliner of the bed and see what's down there

Or look at the floor from underneath.......

Hey I got a hold of some 2003 HD Silverado wheels and tires a while back, but I ran into a small problem, the thread on the squares are english, and the newer models switch to metric... I been checking the dimensions for both replacement studs to see if they will fit my drum and brake disc and I think they are pretty close... can you give me your opinion on this... Thanks
