That clear cap is crazy cool, I cant wait to watch my rotor spinning around.

I have one of those distributors in my 85 and i couldn`t wait til it got dark out so i can look at the sparks through the cap...Well....Lets just say i was not impressed with the light show.

But i`ve had it for about three years with no problems at all.

Imann is easily impressed though. He wasn't even concerned about the light show. He just wants to watch his rotor spin, so he'll be happy as a pig in ****. :High 5:

Flashes of sparks did cross my mind when I saw the clear cap but I figured they would not be very bright or dramatic at all unless something was seriously wrong!

Hats off to Mr. Clean, Right after I pm'd him my address he had it in the mail lickety split! He even gave me a tracking number, according to the site it should be here Tomorrow.

I figured I would do a writeup on this, assuming I can fix the digital camera. I had the camera together today, for some reason it wont turn on now?! And I have a tiny metal piece left over I cannot find a home for.

I got the package today, I tried to fix the camera so I could do a writeup but the camera frustrated me and I decided to go stab the distributor.

The thing works great, my truck is running like its brand new. I pulled the rotor off my old distributor to check out the weights and sure as ****, they were sticking. I still need to take her for a test run but so far it sounds perfect.

The clear cap is incredible, at first I just thought of it as a flashy novelty for show but its really helpfull when your trying to get your timing roughed in, you simply look at the rotor and turn it until its pointed at No. 1 cylinder. While the engine is running you can see the rotor spinning, its really neat!

So did you get dizzy watching the rotor cap??? Next time have your wife rev it to about 3 or 4000 and then watch it.

Iman will enjoy it. It'll keep him entertained for hours and hours provided he has enough gas to keep that rotor spinning. :laughing1:

I bought it just so he couldn't have it, now I have all the glory:Moon: After looking at the weights Im not sure I had to replace the whole thing, I probably could have just cleaned up the weights.

We took the 85 on a beer run last night and it ran a hell of alot better, the whole time I thought I had carb issues it was those stupid ass weights. The peace of mind knowing that the truck wont shut off in the middle of an intersection again is worth the cash spent, its cool Mr.clean got a few bucks off of something he didn't need as well.
