That two tone blue was a popular color combo in those mid 80s years. Other similar ones were the dark blue and silver, dark blue and charcoal gray metallic, and silver and charcoal gray metallic. I remember when we drove the '84 Burb, there were many other square body Burbs that color combo or one of the other three ones I mentioned.

I know its a long shot, but a lot of those magazines have the vehicle owners inside somewhere. You might be able to track them down, it may or may not be a stock paint color.

Yea, I checked. No info inside. It’s actually USA1 industries new catalog. No info inside or with them, according to the person I talked to.

Trying to match paint based on a picture can be difficult. The true color is rarely exactly what the ink on a picture shows.

Also, that may not even be a true factory color. The truck in that pic looks like someone invested some time and money into, they may have gone with a color that was not ever a GM factory color.

There were a few different color possibilities. I'd look at every year of square paint charts & pick the one you like. In this case, I'd say #25, Medium Blue Iridium, and yes, Iridiums WERE metallic!. You're gonna get 20 different answers because everyone is a genius, and see's colors differently. You can go on Ebay and see multiple GM trucks paint charts from the square era. Who knows, that truck pictured could be a stock color with some black thrown in to darken it. Unless you can look at a known stock truck and get the code off the option sticker in glove box, you might never know EXACTLY what it is. I had an '88 S-10 company truck that was a dark blue metallic that was absolutely gorgeous. I'm sure GM crossed it over to their C/K series, but they didn't always do that neither.

I remember that '84 well, and as mentioned in another post, I was responsible for washing the Burbs as well as service on them. So I know that Burb was a very dark navy blue, with no metallic in it. The silver looked good when we got it in '92, but even with a waxing or two, by '05 when it left our fleet, the silver was faded. I think I saw a code #29 navy blue or something similar, on one of those charts?
But if you'd rather have a metallic dark blue... it's your truck, go right ahead!

Regardless of the discussion, if OP wants it to look like an 80s Navy Blue truck, the paint codes have been provided.
Trying to match to a paint chip catalog or chart is of little use.
This is not a difficult search.
