Headlights not working

I have an ‘87 Chevy k10. I had my son replace the Hi low beam dimmer switch in the steering column along with the turn signal lever that has a high low beam headlight and wipers all in one and now the headlights don’t work at all when you turn them on, they worked before this my question is, does anybody know what could’ve been done wrong that would cause this Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Make sure he plugged in the dimmer switch. That’s the only thing I can think of that would prevent the lights from working in either low or high beam.

Time consuming and a pain, but you may try plugging the old one back in, possible new part is bad
