I've seen one before.

But I didn't know what it was then either.

Last hint.

There's a good chance most of us have seen one before. It's a tool for a very common item that most people own, but don't usually service themselves.

I guess we've beat this one up enough....

It's for opening screw-back watch cases.

I got tired of being charged $10 for a 50¢ battery and having to schlep to the jeweler. So for $15 bucks on Amazon I can change my own.

Well, random piece of metal can be fit. Never seen an adjustable one. Never bothered to bother because every two hole cover that needed to be unscrewed is a different size and random metal fits

We'll, yes,.. we can always find something. I finally broke down and made the investment because with the number of watches in the family, and not wanting to scar them up with things that almost fit, I thought it was worth the $15. It's more than paid for itself.

Ah, yep. Ida never guessed that one! I haven't worn a watch since I was in my teens.

It is kind of a disappearing thing. Most people under the age of forty use their phones for timekeeping. But for some people it's either a convenience, a fashion statement or just an appreciation of precision machinery. Personally, I just like them, but things change. I'll be sorry to see them go.

I didn't get my first cell phone until long after the last time I had a watch. I just relied on wall clocks and car radio clocks I guess. Or I was just never on time for anything, lol.
