Lurker for some time, finally got my first Chevy a couple months ago, admittedly with the GMC label, and enjoying the trade up! Along with all the learning. Already gleaned quite a bit here lurking, looking forward to all I can learn to keep this 34 year old truck going, crazy tourist drivers willing, as much of my life as possible.

Where are you located in Northern Arizona? I lived in Prescott Valley for a couple years while going to school, loved it there! When I graduated there weren't any jobs for me in the area so I moved up to the Pacific Northwest, but my wife and I definitely miss it.

I'll admit it, I am mtnmankev's one friend who a guy thought was the 6'7 300+ pound friend, good friend has taught me a LOT when it comes to repairs. Gives only a general location, but I sure have enjoyed the area since I left the northeast.

As much as Ark needs to learn about mechanical work, and as much as I need to teach him, it's causing me to remember things I had forgotten many decades ago, and man, the dust layer is deep !!!
I told him he needs to hang out in the forum as much as possible, read up on the many facets of our squares, and don't be shy to ask any questions.
Thanks for giving him such a warm welcome !!
I also explained to him the difference between this forum and the big one is like a small town compared to a big city, folks here are friendlier, and more willing to talk to their friends and neighbors and lend a helping hand or give advice.
