Can anyone offer up where they get parts that are reliable at a decent price, actually I'm to the point where price doesn't matter. I buy from national stores and have ended up installing them then removing them and taking them back, taking a chance I'll keep doing it again and again. It's like ground hog day. Same thing happens every time I repair something. Kinda ranting a little. Please advise...... ugh....

I usually use rockauto or napa. Oreillys parts suck, but they're open the latest.

I've used both, napa and oriellys. Lmc also.... got 3 bad headlight switches, from all 3 stores finally got a good one from oriellys. Just got a bad water pump from napa, got the same one on order from Oriellys. It's fun installing bad pumps. Haven't tried Rockauto yet .

Hello @Catfish26kc . Hope all is well.

I usually buy parts at Auto Zone, and O'Reilly, but if I am not in a hurry depending on what I need I buy GM, Delco-Remy, AC-Delco NOS out of ebay.

Sometimes doing research many numbers that were specific for your vehicle are superceded by by newer ones that many times are still made by GM and ACDelco.

For electrical parts I really like the quality of Standard brand.

Be well and stay safe out there.
Best wishes to you and all of your loved ones always!

It's a crap shoot. Have had better luck [yes, it is luck] with GM, AC Delco, and Delphi. Rock Auto is my go-to place if I have the time, extensive selection of manufacturers.

Don't forget brand name OEM used parts. In my opinion used is preferable depending in the part. Would never install a used water pump or brake pads. but a used GM Map sensor..... definitely.

Lmc is hit or miss in all categories in my opinion, some stuff is pretty good, other stuff not at all. They do have most of the electrical pigtails for these trucks. Which is very nice, they're hard to find sometimes.

Rockauto has good pricing and A LOT of selection, almost anything you need pretty much. Very few times I haven't found what I needed.

I've had good luck with rock auto with multiple vehicles. K20, Delta 88, Torrent, Trailblazer SS, 14 Z71 4x4, etc. Stores (napa, o reily, etc) I usually research my own numbers before going in. I've ordered from LMC and Ecklers for the k20 and both were pretty good.

For me it’s the Napa in a small town I work in. The manager is my age, if not a little older and he knows his stuff…

I have had decent luck with NAPA - RockAuto is good if you know EXACTLY what you need down to every little possible subvarient, but if you are confronted with 2 or 3 possibilities and guess wrong - you're pretty much stuck with it because there is no way to ever contact someone for help (which is why I now have a nice stack of Timkin inner and outer bearings that don't fit on anything I own and I'm riding around on whatever O'Reilly's had in stock on that particular day). They do offer a good choice of brands and price points and I will still buy from them (RA is one of the only mail-order systems I know of that works with a bank to accept payment for people without credit), but only when there is zero ambiguity about which part I am ordering.

I've had some OK results with LMC (used to buy a lot from their British car division when they had one) and some stuff that was less than stellar. The body shop that fixxed my damaged door on the Suburban got the window felt stuff from LMC (I saw the boxes) and that seems to be perfectly good.
