Finally got some time to myself last night. Some good beer and a few hours later I cut up my fangs and welded the bottom couple of inches back on the truck to give a more finished look.

thanks everybody for the kind words. I sill have to put a layer of body filler over the welds. its pretty damn smooth but not perfect.

level of difficulty...not very hard. I ran out of argon for my welder so I had to use flux core wire and no gas so a little more care was needed. its super thin metal so just make sure welder isn't too hot. total job this far took 2-3 hours. the most time consuming parts is grinding the bottom piece to fit as tightly as you can to the upper piece.
