Also, am I out of line with that asking price on the camper? Lately I've seen a few old campers listed in similar condition (very rough) and they were asking a bit more.

The market has shifted in campers big time. Several years back, I had an older RV that had developed a leak and was in similar shape. Wreckers were telling me I’d have to pay them to take it even though the water heater, fridge, range, etc all worked. Fortunately, someone randomly stopped by while I was on my tractor in the front and asked what I was doing with it. I told them it’s yours if you have a way of getting it home. They showed up a couple days later and towed it on rotted tires over an hour away. Brave souls.Well, I've already got someone interested in it and I had just posted it for sale. I'm truly surprised. I even reiterated that the camper needs a lot of work and they are still wanting to come look at it. I had been hanging onto this thing for a while now, knowing that I didn't have time to give it the attention it deserves. If I'd have known that other people would actually see the value in it, I would have put it up for sale a while ago.
I'm not surprised. Got a local friend who owns 2 RV parks. They say if they had 300 more spaces, they would have them filled in less than a week with full timers. My guess is with the price of housing and rentals everywhere in the US, noone can afford a place of their own.I sold a camper trailer earlsed this year. Had probably over 50 inquiries on it. At some point, I stopped replying and only went to next person after someone either responded or looked at it.
