Posted my 1986 K10 SWB truck up on CL. Had a blast of owning her for the past 3 years. Time to part with it to have a happy wife and life - no room in the garage for her.

She’s a SWB. Stock. Based in Atlanta.

I need to clear some things out. Someone buy my stuff!

El Camino stuff:

Old camper:

Also, am I out of line with that asking price on the camper? Lately I've seen a few old campers listed in similar condition (very rough) and they were asking a bit more.

People are asking and getting higher prices for campers these days. My guess is that’d sell at that price and then some here, but prices are regional of course.

Well, I've already got someone interested in it and I had just posted it for sale. I'm truly surprised. I even reiterated that the camper needs a lot of work and they are still wanting to come look at it. I had been hanging onto this thing for a while now, knowing that I didn't have time to give it the attention it deserves. If I'd have known that other people would actually see the value in it, I would have put it up for sale a while ago.

The market has shifted in campers big time. Several years back, I had an older RV that had developed a leak and was in similar shape. Wreckers were telling me I’d have to pay them to take it even though the water heater, fridge, range, etc all worked. Fortunately, someone randomly stopped by while I was on my tractor in the front and asked what I was doing with it. I told them it’s yours if you have a way of getting it home. They showed up a couple days later and towed it on rotted tires over an hour away. Brave souls.

It served it’s purposes for us. My wife, two dogs and I lived in it for over a year while I built our house. Right up to the point water started dripping on my wife’s face in the middle of the night. The next day I sheet rocked one of the bedrooms and we moved in until the rest was finished.

I sold a camper trailer early this year. Had probably over 50 inquiries on it. At some point, I stopped replying and only went to next person after someone either responded or looked at it.

I'm not surprised. Got a local friend who owns 2 RV parks. They say if they had 300 more spaces, they would have them filled in less than a week with full timers. My guess is with the price of housing and rentals everywhere in the US, noone can afford a place of their own.
Sad in my old brain.
