Does that first connector plug into the EGR solenoid? The single weatherpack connector must be for the O2, mine doesn't have it because I converted to a heated sensor. The timing connector is further to the left of the firewall. That single oily connector could also be for the temp sender, can't see the other side of it to tell. If it looks like the wire is green, it's for the temp sender, if it was like a tan color than it's probably for the oil sender that's above the oil filter area.

That oily plug must be for the oil sender down by the filter then.

I had to charge the battery on my '90 today and took a look under the hood of that one too. Turns out the wire harness is laid out completely different than the '88. But anyway, I don't know what that first connector is for because neither of mine have it.

I swear I posted these yesterday! I was starting to get pissed that I wasn't getting any help.

Here they are:

That first one is the diverter valve control from the ecm. Th green wire with plug may be for the AC...like a test port, or, if you dont have AC, that plug is left there from the removal. Its the power wire for the AC clutch. That single wire black connector looks like it might be the O2 plug if its has a purple wire, if its a tan wire, its for the timing connector. Make sure those are both connected....they are the only wires on TBI that use that plug.

The truck never had A/C though. Odd that it would have the connections for it.

It could be the one harness fits all approach? Only the high speed on the blower works and another thing, I think my horns are disconnected.

All the fuses checked out fine, tomorrow I'm going to have help and pull the hood and get some of those extra wires hooked up, check the coil and hopefully get it bolted down. I have a feeling that it went brain dead and I may have to do an ECM swap.

ECM's rarely go bad, but it is possible.

Looking at the pickup coil, its rusty and could be why the injectors are not pulsing. Any way to clean those or do I have to drop another $100 on a reman distributor?

Ignition Module and coil check out fine, but if the pick up coil, the thing that kinda looks like a sphincter in this is bad I have a feeling that it would be giving me the same problems.

I've seen the pickup coils look like a big ball of rust and they still work. Are all your connections plugged in yet?
