I found a pair of tanks and sending units from a 87 TBI truck, dude wants 150 bux for both of them. Rock auto is 165 for 1 side with the discount. Also the guy said he doesnt know if the passengerside sending unit even works, seems kind of high to me specially when its 20 miles west of springfield, hell I will burn atleast another 50 in gas to go get them. so damn not sure what to do.

$150 for used seems steep to me. I think $25 for a used tank and $15 for a used sending unit is fair. $80 oughta get both tanks and senders IMO. Tell the bastard you have someone else offering a set for $80 but its another 30 miles round trip so you'd offer him to match it or your going to get the other ones. Of course its ********, but he doesn't know it. If I had them, that's what I'd sell them for.

Yes, I'd tell that dude to suck your sack !!! He don't even know if one if one of the senders works??? :flipthebird: Parts for these squares are to cheap and plentiful to pay 50% of retail for **** that has not warranty and the guy can't even say if it works or not. I'd offer him the $80 and if he comes back with $100 then do it you wanna. $150 is to much IMO. Hell, I've bought 3 trucks for $100 each that had 2 tanks and senders on each of them. They just weren't 87 up.

And I'd have to tell him not to choke on my junk. :flipthebird: For that price, just buy a set of new now if you have $150, then you can add the 2nd tank later if funds are an issue now.

Have you considered going with a 32gal blazer tank in the rear? One tank, one sender and be done. Of course there will be some mods to do that, but could save you in the long run for a cool mod now.

Finally we are starting to get some more old fuckers. For awhile there I was thinking I ought to start wearing Depends and getting a discount at Denny's cuz I was feeling so old being here. :shitsweak:
