#19179694 - GMpartsdirect is only showing that one. Probably for the driver's side only.

http://www.afterworkauto.com/servlet/the-3574/ACDelco-25090846-Fuel-Tank/Detail

Rockauto is showing driver's and passenger's side from Dorman.

Just doesnt make any since to me. The other guys picture even shows the fuel lines srew on to the sending unit, yet the only one I can find like that is for a subruban,

Correct me If I am wrong but the suburbans tank dimentions are bigger then the trucks so dont see how that would work.

Thats kind of what I am wondering now, I was thinking about the possabilities of cutting the barbs off and using a flared fitting? Think It would work?

As far as I am aware, as long as you use fuel injection clamps on the hose from the pump to the sending unit, you sould be fine. These are the stainless clamps with a solid band. You won't need the screw-in fittings. Almost every LS swap I've seen has done it this way on the 87' sender, and those setups are for 58 psi or so, but that's regulated pressure, so I'm sure the actual pressures from the pump are much higher.

To boot, most people are using ACDelco EP381 pumps, which are actually the pumps used in the Vortec 5.7 trucks.

Ok then I stand corrected, I didnt realize there were a band type clamp our parts stores here dont have anything like that, where is the best place to get them at? what about the fuel hose what would you reccomend there? I will take some pictures of the fitting on the fuel rail now maybe someone can tell me what type of fittings to get, the an fittings, flare, double flare, pipe, ect., ect. confuses the hell out of me.

Rock Auto has the 20 gallon tanks for $81-$85 on 2 different brands. Look like the Fuel sender is $70. All these parts will add up quick. Have you considered good used tank with a Sender, lock ring and all already included.?

According to the application chart it appears to me any tank in an 87 up 91 squarebody truck will work. Both 2 and 4wd, 10, 20 and 30 series including crew cab dually.

You could also make the threaded outlet for the sending unit with one of those fuel line repair kits for GM cars/trucks. Just cut off the nipple, bend and trim the fitting end how you want it, then connect it to the sending unit with the supplied compression fitting.

I found a pair of tanks and sending units from a 87 TBI truck, dude wants 150 bux for both of them. Rock auto is 165 for 1 side with the discount. Also the guy said he doesnt know if the passengerside sending unit even works, seems kind of high to me specially when its 20 miles west of springfield, hell I will burn atleast another 50 in gas to go get them. so damn not sure what to do.
