Fuel sending unit

Switching to gas from diesel. Curious if the sending units in my tanks will be ok with gas. Thanks!

I just need to know if the sending units are the same between gas and diesel. I'm seeing different part numbers between the 6.2 diesel, 454 and 350. But the tanks are all the same. 20 gallon dual side tanks.

If the part numbers are different, the sending units are different... They're also different side to side..

The only difference is likely to do with the ports. Size or possibly number. The sender itself has the same resistance range.
I just swapped over to gas from a diesel that had been in storage since 2005. I also switched the gauges as well since I had both and didn't want "Diesel Fuel Only" on the current gauge.
Anyway, the sender is reading out some and needs to be replaced. It shows 1/8 while empty and 5/8 with 9 gals in it. Both the old diesel and replacement gas gauge read the same.

I've got gas sending units in my diesel, so vice versa should not be a problem. Difference in part numbers is due to 1, 2, or 3 ports. Only difference between a 3-port gas or diesel unit is the plug for the "water in fuel" light on the diesel.
