If your Ohms are different at the firewall, then crawl under the truck and pull the plug on the valve and check them there. Maybe you just have corrosion outside the valve itself... in the plug connections.

If I ever had to change my valve out, I would knock the original apart just so I could see what the contacts look like in there.
The plug itself looks great! Like new snd no corrosion. This tank was never used, only the main. Im wondering if it can be removed and opened up and cleaned??

I went to look at pictures of one over at Rock Auto It's anyone's guess whether you can knock the rivets out, open it up and get it back together. I know I would crack an old one open if I was replacing it just to see inside. That's kind of my nature.

It's not priced bad at Rock.... if it is the right one. I have not had to research that in depth yet. If you take it apart, make sure you take pictures and show us what things look like in there.
