Front shackle bushing wrong size?

I bought some new front shackles off rock auto and I'm wondering if the bushings that were included have a outer lip that is too deep. When I put the shackles on the frame it was difficult to get the nut on as there was almost no thread available past the bushing. When putting the spring on there is a bunch of sliding room and if I were to snug it up the shackle wouldn't be square and potentially cause binding.

Did I get the wrong bushing with my shackles or is it supposed to be this way?

That definitely doesn’t look right. That shoulder should be about 3/16”, at least the ORD K30 ones I used were. I’ll dig up the photos...

Get it snugged up, then measure from shackle to shackle top and bottom to see if they’re parallel. Optical illusions can be a bitch.

I don’t have experience with k10s and the leaf may be narrower, which would explain the difference in lower bushing shoulder width.

Do you have stock or aftermarket springs? If I remember right there is a difference in the width of them and thus there are different bushings available.

I can't remember what I did for sure yesterday half the time but I vaguely remember a similar issue I had about 5 years ago. I ordered bushings and they sent the wrong ones for the springs I had.

I have Tuff Country 4" Lift springs

I have the same issue with my 4" rough country springs. I was thinking of spacers between the bushing and the shackle.

Just to wrap this up, I picked up a set of Energy Suspension front leaf bushings. Part# 3.211G
They worked great. The outer shoulder on them is way smaller.
