I bought a used front driveline from a wrecking yard.

I replaced the front U-joint. When I went to install it, it bolted right up to the transfer case, but fully extended it’s about a quarter inch to 1/2 inch too short.

does anyone have any educated ideas?

I thought they were all the same.

Probably got a driveshaft for a th350. Non-overdrive transmissions were shorter
