My front bumper was dangling by three bolts when I bought the truck and when I tried to fix it the holes did not line upfrom left to right. My title says 1983 GMC. That little bracket on the driver side looks 73-80. I need you fine people to tell my what year my frame and bumper look like.

I'm sure the 81+ brackets can be made to work but you'd probably need a good frame to measure for correct placement. Maybe you'll get lucky with bolt patterns.

This is a 73 - 80 frame. You could use the correct 73 - 80 bumper and brackets with no problem - it will look fine - or, if you want to use the 83 front bumper, you will need the correct brackets for that bumper. If you don't have another vehicle to use as a template, have a helper with you, and attach the front bracket(s) to the bumper, then have your helper hold the pumper in position. That will show you where you need to drill. After that, you will be able to easily locate the proper mounting points for the side mounts - can't remember if you will need to drill new mounting holes for those.
