SO today i checked my front ball joints and they are SHOT!
I have a 86 chevy k20 with a 44 front axle. Can you guys explain which ones i need to buy, there are a few different kind i see on rock auto.

You sure its a D44 and not a Corporate 10 bolt. D44 never came in an 86

agreed if it's a round 10 bolt cover it's gm corp. 10.

as for different kind you mean different brands? it's just whichever brand you want to use, el cheapo's or some moog.

I've used cheapos and had great luck, not on these type axles though, saw guy shave issues with cheapys on solid axles, had to run duralasat or raybestos, moog etc. others use only top brand top price stuff.

The D44 and 10bolt use the same ball joints anyway. If the truck is a daily driver, go with the better joints, like Moog.
