Frame mounted Trailer Hitch for Step bumper

What's going on y'all. Just bought my first C10 it's an 81 2 wheel drive custom deluxe long bed I am looking to install a bolt on frame mounted trailer hitch. The truck has the factory work style step bumper. What trailer hitch would best fit the truck and would not interfere with the bumper or hang down too low? As of now truck is stock height it will be lowered with a 3/4 drop in the future. Thanks for any help highly appreciated

Look up your vehicle on etrailer.com Even if you buy one from another vender that is cheaper etrailer will so you options from several manufactures.

I have a Drawtite #41938 which is a class 5 hitch rated for 1,500lb hitch weight and 15,000lb trailer weight. WAYYY more than I'd ever tow, but I'd rather have to much hitch than not enough, and yes I have the same bumper you do but in chrome.

It’s been a while since I searched for one, but vendors used to sell frame hitches that were specifically designed to work with a step bumper.

That bumper looks like what’s on my ‘75 W100. Don’t think it’s a stock Chevy bumper. (Not that it matters)

I bought a Curt 13401 for a K5 and made it fit from Amazon.
Amazing that a truck made ‘73 thru ‘87 that a hitch would be an issue! Try U-Haul
